Retatrutide: what it is, and why we don't sell it

A lot of people arrive here searching for where to buy retatrutide, who has the best retatrutide, or what might be better than it. This page answers those questions honestly. The short version: it is an unapproved investigational drug, it is not lawfully available to buy, and Premium Lab Peptides neither stocks it nor refers anyone to a supplier who does.

What retatrutide is

Retatrutide (development code LY3437943) is an investigational compound developed by Eli Lilly. It is a single molecule that acts on three receptors — GLP-1, GIP and glucagon — which is why it is described as a triple agonist. It is being studied primarily for obesity and weight management, with further trials in related conditions. Phase 2 results were published in the New England Journal of Medicine in 2023, and the compound has since progressed into a Phase 3 programme.

Its regulatory status

At the time of writing, retatrutide has not been granted a marketing authorisation by the MHRA in the United Kingdom, the FDA in the United States or the EMA in Europe. It is not a licensed medicine anywhere. The only people receiving it lawfully are participants in the sponsor's registered clinical trials, where it is manufactured to pharmaceutical standards, dosed under a protocol and monitored by clinicians.

That status can change — approval decisions are made by regulators, not by websites — so check the MHRA for the current position.

Where to buy retatrutide — the honest answer

Nowhere, lawfully. Because there is no marketing authorisation, there is no approved retail source, no pharmacy supply and no "clinically approved store". Every commercial seller of retatrutide is operating outside regulation. Products labelled "research grade" are not made, tested or released under the standards that apply to a clinical-trial supply, and there is no independent way to verify what a vial actually contains. The research-use label describes the legal basis of the sale; it is not a quality mark.

We are a research-compound supplier and we say this plainly because it is the standard we hold across everything we supply: you should be able to trust what is in the vial. For retatrutide, from any commercial source, you cannot.

Why Premium Lab Peptides doesn't stock or refer it

  • We do not source it and will not.
  • We do not pass enquirers to other suppliers. There is no supplier we could responsibly vouch for, because none is regulated.
  • Everything we supply is sold, labelled and invoiced for in-vitro laboratory research. Retatrutide enquiries are almost always about human use, which is outside that boundary and outside the law for an unlicensed medicine.

If you are looking at retatrutide for weight management

Speak to a doctor. Licensed GLP-1 medicines exist and are available on prescription in the UK, with the manufacturing standards, dosing guidance and clinical follow-up that an unregulated vial cannot offer. If you are interested in retatrutide specifically, the lawful route is a clinical trial: the NIHR Be Part of Research service lists UK studies, and ClinicalTrials.gov lists the sponsor's programme worldwide.

Questions people ask

Where can I buy retatrutide in 2026?

Nowhere lawfully, outside a clinical trial. Retatrutide has no marketing authorisation from the MHRA, the FDA or the EMA, so there is no approved retail source and no legitimate pharmacy supply. Anyone selling it commercially is operating outside regulation, whatever the product is labelled. The only route to receiving retatrutide is enrolment in one of the sponsor's registered trials.

Who has the best retatrutide peptide?

No supplier can be assessed as "best" because none is approved, inspected or accountable to a regulator. Product identity, purity and dose cannot be relied on from any unregulated seller. Premium Lab Peptides does not stock retatrutide and does not refer customers to suppliers who do.

What peptide is better than retatrutide?

That is a question about therapeutic effect in humans, and it is not one a research-compound supplier should answer. There is no approved product to compare retatrutide against, and no unregulated compound is a substitute for a licensed medicine. If the underlying question is about weight management, licensed GLP-1 medicines exist and are available on prescription; a doctor can advise on whether one is appropriate.

Does Premium Lab Peptides sell retatrutide?

No. We do not stock retatrutide, do not source it, and do not pass enquirers to anyone who does. Everything we supply is strictly for in-vitro laboratory research.

Is "research grade" retatrutide different from the drug in trials?

Only in that it is unregulated. Compounds sold as "research grade" are not manufactured, tested or released under the pharmaceutical standards that apply to a clinical-trial supply, and nobody outside the seller can verify what a vial contains. The research-use label describes the legal basis of the sale; it is not a quality standard.

What we do

Premium Lab Peptides supplies research-grade peptides for in-vitro laboratory work, each batch independently tested by a UK laboratory with a Certificate of Analysis and batch traceability to every vial. Our knowledge base covers storage, reconstitution, reading a COA and the UK legal position, and our research-use policy sets out the terms on which we supply.
